Announcing the "Top Blog" Contributor for Quarter 1!

Amazing Painters: As we move into the second half of the semester, make your best effort to post at least 2 comments to your peers' posts per week, along with images of your work in progress ands final pieces.

I will be calculating your participation grade from not only the posts you create of your OWN work, but the meaningful comments you post to your peers.

Let's also all try to make an effort to take the time to photograph your work well, and carefully crop our images so we can all focus on your beautiful work!

Here is a quick video if you'd like to try this in Photoshop, you can also use the crop/color correcting features and even perspective editing tools if you have an iPhone.

Maggie Turner Impressionism

This piece is Starry Starry Night by Vincent Van Gogh created in 1889. The characteristics of this era were that artists used vivid colors, more emotion than realism, and used thick coats of paint. Vincent Van Gogh, Paul Cezanne and Henri Matisse were key artists. Some events that were happening during this era was the creation of the airplane, and Alexander Graham Bell created the telephone.
