Sydney, I am excited to see your interpretation of Pop Art developing on this project, and I especially appreciate what I recognize as thoughtful and symbolic use of a color palette to reinforce a concept (the American flag?). A bit of technical advice: Red is notoriously "streaky" and often requires multiple coats for full coverage-whether you are painting a wall in a house, or using acrylic. Be patient and keep adding coats, eventually it will look flat and graphic like the light blue.
