Sunrise After Snow, 1995
I believe this is a very good example of a well done painting for numerous reasons. The artist Don Koestner creates a very good wintery scene in this painting. I really think he paid attention to the detail of the snow on the trees as well as the layers of snow on the ground with little ripples to create texture. In addition to the snow, the contrast of colors with the sunrise and ocean waters gives a very warm feeling even though it's a wintery scene.
I agree. The artist did a great job at finding colors in the snow that reflect the colors in the sky.
