Alex MacWilliams Food Panting- Henry Weinig Elements of Art Description

   

In Alex MacWilliams painting of a delicious looking milkshake, he uses value to show the different colors and brightnesses of the different areas of the milkshake. He does so by blending the different lights and dark browns to create a beautiful looking masterpiece. Next, Alex shows texture, by using modeling paste to give some 3d effects to the whipped cream. Alex then uses color in the background of his painting to accent the blue and yellow colors of nWest Virginia University, the college portrayed on the front of his cup. Lastly, Alex uses shape to give roundness to his perfectly places cherry on top which really compliments the rest of the painting well as it is on the other side of the color wheel.
