Faith Ringgold was born October 8th, 1930 and is now 90 years old. She was born in Harlem, New York and now lives in Englewood, New Jersey.

Most of Faith's popular art works are painted quilts and some paintings. A lot of Faith's work looked into the social impacts of African/ African American women. She did some pieces centered around feminism as well. One of her works, Who's Afraid of Aunt Jemima? was actually a detailed story about the struggles of being an African American woman and to also change the story and shed a positive light on the character Aunt Jemima.
