My art movement, Art Nouveau, was a period during 1890-1910 where artists worked the modernize design by leaving behind the classical and historical style. Key styles usually were ones based off of nature elements such as flowers, insects, and other plants. A couple "notable artists" in this period are Gustav Klimt, Alphonse Mucha, and Egon Schiele. During this time, historical events that were happening is the US declared war on Spain in 1890, and the Eiffel Tower was was opened in 1889.
