Something I learned about cubism is that it was a movement that began abstract thinking and abstract art. There was a shift from the portrayal of things as they are in reality to a more abstract way of seeing both humans and objects. It enabled an artist to portray an object as they see it, not as it is in reality which allows them to use their creativity. I also learned that this movement took place in the early 1900s which is also when my movement, Futurism, took place.
