Bridget Riley(April 24, 1931 - present) is an English painter who lives and works in London, Cornwall and the Vaucluse in France.

Bridget Riley started painting in figure subjects in a semi-impressionist manner, then changed to pointillism around 1958, mainly producing landscapes. In 1960, she started to create 'Op-art' pieces, which produce a disorienting physical effect on the eye.
